LOW-PUFA OILS
By using exclusively low-PUFA (polyunsaturated fatty acids) oils, we significantly lower the risk for our oils oxidizing and going rancid. Oil and fats that are saturated or monounsaturated are more stable than polyunsaturated fats due to the lack of double bonds susceptible to oxidation. Popular inexpensive seed oils are the most commonly used oils in the skincare industry to turn a greater profit, not to profit your skin. Read more about fatty acids here.
NATURAL FRAGRANCE
By scenting our body oil with vanilla CO2 and oleoresin, we not only obtain the botanical properties for skin benefits, but we also extract a full aroma profile that is missing from steam distilled essential oils and synthetic fragrances. We avoid the use of artificial fragrance and therefore are not contaminating our products with possible endocrine disrupting toxins.
GLASS BOTTLES
To ensure endocrine safety, SZIA SKIN limits plastic in our production as much as possible. We bottle our products in glass which is not only better for overall health but is a better experience.
